Rear Wheels on 2005 Volkswagen Beetle

I just purchased a 2005 Convertible Beetle and noticed that the rear wheels slant slightly outward where the tire meets the ground is this normal?

This is called "Camber". It is a wheel alignment measurement. It depends on the specifications from Volkswagen as to how much the tired should be tilting out. I would get a 4 wheel alignment check to make sure everything is OK and within specification. If you let it go it will prematurely wear out the tires.
