Rear latch sticks open. If not noticed and left, it drains batteries. Batteries now require replacing. Regularly lubricate to free up but it continues to occur.
Tailgate sticks , battery constantly dead
I reported tailgate problem when I took it in for dead battery. They reported that dead battery and that fixed the tailgate. The tailgate is worse now.
