rear shocks- air on 1998 Cadillac DeVille

i was told by 2 shops in my area and i was told by both shops that the cost of replacing my shocks , would be between $1200 - $1400. how come my estimates are so much nigher???

air struts are expensive. the bulk of the money is for parts. i hope they included an alignment as it will be necessary to do this. Roy

my rear air shocks are pumped up to the top so the back end is jacked up. the dealer has already replaced the sensor switch and said it is probably the pump. doesn't sound right to me.
