hey! i know what you mean. i will tell you what i did to fix that problem.i took off the inside panel and removed the motor and brakets that raise and lower the window and i pushed down the window. then i opened the tailgate and i removed the rear driverside tail light. inside there is a plug that sends power to the tailgate. i think it is a 3wire plug. using a testlight you can check to make sure you have power from the switch on the dash. one slot is for the up, one is for the down, and one is power all the time. if you set the testlight so you can watch it when you push the button on the dash it should light up. unplug the window motor and use the test light on the plug end. using the key in the tailgate see if the test light will light up when you move the key side to side.if you do not have power at this point then your key switch in the tailgate is bad. i just cut the 1 or 2 black wires( that are power all the time) and tap them up. then cut the other wires and put them together using wire connectors and tape them up. now make sure you test the motor to raise and lower the window first before you put it back together. and start putting back together and it is fixed.
