rear main seal on 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe

while driving my tahoe leaks oil badly, it drips onto exaust pipes and smells terrible. i think it is the rear main seal. It does not leak while parked

If its coming from with in the bell housing you may be correct. You may need to wash down the engine to pinpoint the leak. A garage may look for a leak using dye in the oil, or using a smoke machine oil generate smoke through the dipstick tube and plugging of any engine vents to see where the smoke leaks out.
