Question: rear light stuck will not go out

car was parked rear light came on. they will go out. headlight switch on and off.they only go out when the battery cable is removed. i have checked fuses and light relay.what can be the problem? thanks to anyone that answers

    There is a brake light switch located on the upper back of the brake pedal and sometimes they stick in the on position, its available at any auto parts store.

    It's a $3 part at the Honda dealership, but my dad, being the redneck he is, used a washer and duct tape...problem solved. You just need something to plug the hole for the brake switch. I think it's called a stopper pad or something like that.
