The rear lamps don't give much problems on that car. Make sure the correct bulbs are fitted, if a light bulb doesn't work try a new bulb or swap that bulb with one that works from the other side. Make sure right bulbs, single or double filament are in the right sockets and no bulb holder is burned. Also im just fixed a similar issue, if your dash indicator for light comes on and stays on while your driving or attempting to drive. Check your Neutral Safety Switch on the side of the tranny. it controls reverse lights.
