1998 Cadillac DeVille Question: rear end too high
Answer #1matte August 17, 2010, 14:54Master
Normally with these cars, as I understand it, problems like this are caused by a malfunction in the air suspension.
These fail often and are hugely expensive to fix, and most owners opt to replace the struts with traditional non air-suspension parts.

hi matte, thanx for reply...is it possible to just disconnect air pump, let out air, lower rear, etc. so i do not have to replace shocks ? will air shocks act like normal shocks if disconnected ? will i do harm to car by doing this ? barry
