Question: Rear Door hatch remote opener

 Rookie

I just bought the van this week it has 4500 miles and for the most part pretty clean.Using my Remote to open my rear hatch it opens fine. but then it closes. It doesn't do it every time but about every third time. I've bumped my head twice trusting that it was open. now I never trust it standing back. is there a sensitivity adjustment that might be set too sensitive?

    Gas filled props should be replaced. These assist the motor in raising the liftgate and holding it in the open position. If you are on a steep incline/decline, the efficiency is reduced as it is designed for use on relatively level ground. Snow, excessive dirt or the addition of accessories to the lift gate will also hamper proper operation.
