My machanic pulled the rear hubs and cleaned out all break dust. Brakes and hubs looked fine. Next day the squeal came back. Any ideas? Thanks

Brake squeal can be caused by brake dust, glazed brake drums or brake rotors, out of adjustment (in the case of rear drum brakes) or brake lining material. Is you GMC still covered under manufacture warranty?

I have 23000 miles on the truck. The dealer told me the brakes are covered up to 12000 miles

Too bad I was hoping they would cover it under warranty. At that mileage the frictional material in the brakes should not be worn out or your mechanic would have told you anyway. Probably nothing to worry about only an annoying noise.
