Question: rear brake rotors

How do you replace the rear rotor. It won't come off....

    make sure that your caliper is off and that your parking brake is completely off.

    If you can't get the caliper off open the bleeder & pry the pads to loosen them from the rotor before removing. If everything is out of the way & still wont come off then the park brake is holding it on. Check to see if the cable behind the backing plate is tight. If so remove it because it's holding the brake out. If not then slowly turn the rotor & pull towards you as someone else bangs it with a mallet (or piece of wood) until you can pry it off. These cars usually have a small drum/shoe brake inside the hat of the rotor to use as a parking brake.
