running light filament works with headlites on, brake lite doesn't, filament ok. when i twist bulb to different positions, various of the lights go out. could it be wiring prob? difficult to get assembly on drivers side back in, almost have to force it.

Look to see if the contact in the bulb socket is burned or oxidized. Its the same color wire brings power to each of the two rear brake lights, they bring power from a rear body control module in the left rear of the trunk, haven't seen too much problem with the control module, look closely at the contact in the bulb holder, try swapping brake light bulb from one side to the other to see bulb is OK.If it is wiring Jaguar wiring diagrams are easy to follow. There is a company that independent auto repair shops get their information from, this same information is available inexpensively for people that work on their own cars.. The information is year make and model specific, covering repair procedures, torque specifications, fluid capacities and specifications, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect....
