The rear air suspension in your 2004 Buick Rainer has height sensors for both the left and right rear suspension. They are located above the rear axle on each side. Let's not assume however that one is faulty. The rear suspension control module will display fault codes when it detects a fault. The inflator switch LED will blink when a code is present. There is no fault code for a leak or faulty air spring, if the LED is NOT flashing that is most likely where your fault is. Check all of the lines completely to make sure there are no leaks. The compressor is mounted above the rear suspension, my guess is that you have a leak in the air line to the left air spring.
