Question: Real loud screaching noise when heat or ac is turned on

This problem just started, but when I turn my heat or ac controls on, a very loud screaching noise occurs and will stall out engine, if not immediately shut off.

    sounds like the ac compressor is locked up and the belt is slipping across it to try and turn it. have a shop confirm and give you a bid.
