My truck air conditioner isn;t working, but the heat still does, but I noticed that the coolent container seems to be low, but I don't see any signs of it leaking on the ground. What might be the problem?

When the motor is running and you turn on the AC, do you hear the AC compressor engage? It should make a loud click sound under the hood and if the system is properly charged it should cycle on and off every couple of minutes, if it cycles very rapidly then you have a low charge condition and that would be the cause of you AC not cooling . You will need to find the cause of the low refrigerant level. The low coolant is an unrelated issue. Good luck.
