i had this same problem it was the rod berrings at the crankshaft after about six months they finally went out but if u do an oil change and pour a court of lucus oil stabalizer in it first then fill it the rest of the way up with rotilla 10w40 motor oil it will quit and last u a long time i tow around 10.000 to 12.000 lbs on a daily basis with mine plus a big dog tandem axle trailer thats why mine only lasted 6 months but urs should last 3 times that long but dont worry u can change the rod berrings just by pulling off the oil pan then thair right thair easy fix and the lucus will save your crankshaft from gettin tore up it took me about 5 hours to change them and they only costed me $18.00 at import parts thay were cheap u can look them up online at importparts.com hope this was helpful good luck 2 u man and if u need anything else contact me at aaron.snyder@rocketmail.com p.s. I put a stage 2 turbo in mine from a mitsubishi 3000 gt now its the fastest nissan in southern oregon
