My 04 Volvo S60 has approx. 68,000 miles, has been maintained by the dealership and is great condition. However, every now and then I hear a low sounding rattle coming from somewhere under the right side of the vehicle, kind of like a shock is loose. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.............Jake

Many possibilities on this vehicle. Struts will make rattling noises, especially when first driving in the morning. The sway bar end links fail and cause rattling from the front and rear of the vehicle. The control Arm bushings wear out and cause noise and the upper strut plates can break, but this will cause a pretty loud noise over bumps. An inspection by an experienced Volvo tech would likely figure this out rather quickly.

Rattlings when accelerating above 35mph. If coasting at high speeds, no issues. Is it my transmission, bushings, or ETM...or something else altogether. The car is at 96,000 miles.
