Ram 2500 Recalls
The left and right tie rod assemblies are part of the front steering linkage, Certain trucks are being recalled because the left tie rod can break unexpectedly. This can result in loss of steering control. Dealers will inspect the steering linkage and install a new left tie rod assembly as necessary to correct this concern. This recall supersedes a previous recall, some vehicles repaired under the first recall may require an additional repair.
If there is a problem with the turn signal system the signal indicator on the dash should flash at double its normal rate. These 2013 Ram trucks are being recalled because this may not occur and the driver could unknowingly continue to use the turn signals believing the system was operating normally. Dealers will reprogram the Central Body Controller software to correct this concern.
Certain headlight systems use an adjustable "shutter" which is mounted in front of the headlight bulb and partially blocks the beam depending on the high/low beam selection. Certain 2013 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks are being recalled because the shutter may not function correctly in the high beam mode, resulting in too much or too little illumination. Improper illumination can result in reduced driver visibility or blinding of oncoming traffic, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will reconfigure the Central Body Controller to correct this concern.
