Question: Radio and steering wheel controls

 Rookie

I have a bmw 528i 99 model..My radio goes on and off on its own accord...when this happens all the cotrolls on the steering wheel will not work..Please advise what could be the couse as all the fuses seem intact.

  i think it is the ignition switch, same thing happened to me
