what would cause the four right buttons on heater controls and the right side of the radio lights to not come on at night when the rest of the dash lights are on. have checked all bulbs on front and rear outside, and all are functioning. did juggle the glove compartment light, and the light behind the heater blower motor did come on, it was also off, these other lights remain off at night.

Most likely some of the bulbs internal to the radio and heater control module have burned out. The bulbs are not easily replaceable. There are repair shops that specialize in radio repairs, one of those should be able to replace the burned out radio bulbs. The radio will most likely need to be removed and set out for repair or exchange. The heater control panel may require replacement.

It's not worth the price to have this fixed. I checked with 2 different mechanics (1 a Buick dealer) and they both had similar repair costs ~ $800. I can live without those 4 lights at night.

thanks, i can live without them also,,,,,,,,not hard to memorize the location, or turn on the overhead light. that kind of money would go a long way on tires and major things that really matter
    thanks again
