2006 Kia Rio Q&A
2006 Kia Rio Question: Quote to perform routine timing belt replacement maintenance on my Kia Rio 2006.
I have a 2002 Hyundai XG350, and I was quoted $920 for my timing belt - that's because I have to replace the belt, both pulleys, AND the water pump, because on my car the water pump acts as a third pulled for the TB system. But, I surfed for better prices, and at dealer price (I work at a dealership) I can get the timing belt kit for $380, and I know it's not going to take six hours of labor, nor do they charge me more than $60 an hour for labor, so I just saved myself a couple hundred dollars. To answer your question, I can't give you an exact price because we own different vehicles, but I can tell you that replacing your TB system is pricey and going to cost you somewhere between $500 and $1000, give or take. Hope this helped :) - speedchiq
