It sounds like the starter needs replaced but we just had it replaced a week ago. I was driving the other day and when it shifted gears it clunked real hard in every gear. I brought it home and an hour later it shifted fine. Still has the starter problem though. The service engine soon light has been on for a couple of days. This is the second time this has happened to us. Was worried about the torque convertor or a sensor. Any help would be appreciated.
I had two Monroe quick strut assemblies replaced in front and two air struts in the rear. The front looks much higher than before, is this normal?
When the car shifts it is very smooth. Transmission fluid and filter replaced about 15,000 miles ago.
The car runs like there is a bad spark plug or wire. This is the second engine in the car and it was not new. When I had the computer run on a check engine light, those items were mentioned as possible causes on the number 4 Cylinder as well as an injector. Had the car checked and all plugs, wires, and compression were good on the engine. The mechanic stated that the engine was mechanically sound! The next step the mechanic was going to diagnose was an injector but I did not have the money that day to continue. When I left, the car was back to running as it normally should. Something the mechanic did must have cleared/cleaned the problem out. It has started running rough again and will not clear itself out. Sometimes in the past, the problem would go away on its own. The car will be running fine. You turn it off to park and go do something and when you come out and turn the car back on again, it starts running rough like it has a bad plug. In the past, the problem would work itself out but the last time it did not. It has started running rough once again and will not clear itself out. I know about the plastic intake manifold on this car. I am not leaking any antifreeze as the levels remain constant. Something is fouling an injector as the one cylinder is not running correctly. What does this problem sound like? Do you have an idea what to look for to correct the problem? Also, a referral to a mechanic that is familiar with this problem and who will not charge an arm and a leg or who wants to rebuild the entire engine. A reponse would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Had tires checked and aligment. Had front end looked at. Nothing wrong with front end. Shakes between 40 and 60 bad. The only thing is have broke 2 motor mounts (front). What can it be?
The car has been shaking alot. At speeds of 35 to 60.
radiator is not leaking. not leaking when parked. there is some leakage signs beside motor on the belt side. does not get hot as long as I fill up every trip or two. Antifreeze is getting diluted and expensive. My assumption is a water pump? but what else could it be? I do not want to use stop leak.
The manifold is off, the oil is not bad, And it is not the lifters
i put another 38 engine in and now check engine light will not go out my heat will not even come on

In the back outside there is rubber stripping that is coming off, what should I purchase to glue this back. It goes around the back, it's not the bumper or window or door, it's part of the decor, if you will. I appreciate any and all help. Thank you!

When the engine first starts up the gauge reads over 40, it will drop slightly when you start to drive. When you have to stop at traffic light the gauge slowly drops toward red zone and pressure rises again when you accelerate.
i need to replace the key switch,because the key will not come out of the old one.
i need to remove the airbag and take the steering wheel off to replace the key switch
The problem I have is when I hit the accelerator hard, the car will launch like a rocket the die. It will blow out the fuel pump fuse every time. I need to find the short but can. I even let one of the dealers mechanics drive the car for a couple weeks and he couldn't find the problem either. I bought some wire loom and installed it over the wires coming out of the fuel tank and it's better. Sometimes it will not blow the fuse. The next problem that came up is when I put the wire loom over the wires to protect them, and now the fuel gauge works when it wants to. It reads 3/4 to full almost all the time even when it's almpost empty. Can anyone help me out? I don't want to have to buy stock in fuses to get some of my money back :(.
Why is water leaking under dash on passenger side?
