Can't start car replaced starter 1year ago and same problem now so I took hammer to starter and it started drove home and will not start. Bench test ok but no start when reinstalled . Banged with hammer and it started again. Replaced starter enable relay and still not start. With key on engine will start when hot wired but security shut off engine after 5 seconds? David
I already tried the manuals, doesn't say. I looked behind the glove box and under the hood by the firewall in the relay panel.
Car starts up but stalls frequently. New battery was installed. Could the problem be electrical?
Once I put the car in drive it stays normal for 27 seconds then it flashes 60 for about 1 minute and 7 seconds. The AC never comes on.
Have a replacement relay -fuse under hood ok- but cannot find info on the relay location.
Defrost and floor work. Where are the vacuum lines comming off of the engine located?
The car just started having trouble cranking over and idling smooth.
I ran out of gas, after my gas gauge was slightly higher about you but it was the day before. I knew I was low but it looked like I had enough to go around the block to the next gas station. So I ran out of gas, and when I put a gallon and it didn't start, it was turning but it didn't actually fire, so I put a couple more gallons in and it still isn't starting. For some reason prior to this, I have had some trouble with starting it in the cold and it not wanting to stay above a certain Idol to stay on. So sometimes I would have to sit there and make sure that it would stay on long enough to keep an idol and then I could put my foot off the gas after sometime.also without my car having the keys or lights on every time I open my door the buildings like I've left my keys in. That started about two weeks ago. Not sure if it is related. I have put heat in the tank and carburetor cleaner/fuel injector cleaner it now has about 3 gallons wants to start definitely Rives but doesn't actually fully fire and turnover. Any suggestions?
I replaced battery the cables and the starter to no avail when I turn the key the engine starts to turn then it just clicks put new ignition module in still no go
Car was fine 'til few days ago. Was on way home from work, then car stalled. Press on gas and no response. Checked transmission fluid. Fluid level good. Had car towed home. Tried to drive today, shifts through gears but doesn't drive or reverse.
Car wouldn't start, battery seemed good, all lights on. Radio would play but I turned it off, also fan so as not to drain battery.
Kept turning key for about 3-4 minutes, finally started.
Three weeks later it happened again. Took more time turning the key many times to get it going.
One week later I turned key for at least an hour, simply would not start. AAA brought it home, where it's been sitting.
Been sitting in driveway for almost 2 weeks while we're trying to find someone to work on it. Husband just tried to start it and it started. But I'm afraid to drive it now, not knowing what's wrong. It's winter, I don't want to be stranded in the cold.
Would appreciate any help or ideas.
1998 Olds LS. AC/heater fan was cutting out, then working again on its own. When it seemed to cut out for good I was advised to replace the blower motor, which I did. But, now it appears the greater problem is a vent that won't open allowing the air to blow into the interior of the car. Is there any way short of removing the dash to get at this problem?
do i have to have new key made or will key work in ignition that i get from junk yard
I don't hear my fan come on when car is at 200 degree temp so I want to know when are they suppose to come on
a/c heater fan makes a lot of noise.
I was able to start my car about 10 days ago, took it out for a test drive, while out, it stalled, and had a hard time starting up again, once I was able to get it started again, I took it home and that is where it "died". Since then, I have changed the plugs, wires, filter, and now the battery. I have tried to start it several times, but, it will not "catch". What am I missing??
what are the most common problem with the fuel gauge
it feels like there are 2 nuts to the panel
This vehicle will die and when it cools down it will start back up no problem. I have replaced the ignition module due to when you move it the car will start but due to heat this is killing them and these things are expensive to keep replacing.
If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it.

it will start back up only happens every once in awhile i changed the fuel pump altanater tuned it up still does it every once in awhile

like at a red light gauge goes little past 200..the temp..then the rpms speed up way high,,hear it getting higher,,then lurches car fast.at standstill ,,like idles to high or clutvh? any ideas
