Have a 2002 Freelander HSE with 90,000 miles. The Service Engine light was on and there was a significant decrease in acceleration. Took it to a local mechanic who said that the catalytic converters needed to be replaced. Replaced both including 4 oxygen sensors. Could not clear code P1471 and occasionally P1472. Replaced Mass Airflow Sensor. Code P1471 still would not clear. Removed engine cover, including the intake air filter. Car ran great, no problems. P1471 code cleared and service engine soon light stayed off. Replaced the air filter with a high performance air filter, attached to the Mass Air Flow Sensor. This seemed to solve the problem for approximately 20 miles and then the Service Engine light came back on. What's the problem? Can you help?
It being doing this for about 2 to 3 months off and on.

when I step on the gas it takes a while for the car to go fast
had leak and it was traced to this cause. The housing plus other parts needed to be replaced. What should this cost at a commercial repair business?

The rear window does not work - made a grinding sound, but nothing now. The dealer told me I needed a window regulator and wiring replaced. this doubles the price from $400ish to $850. Is this in the ballpark?
Hello my 2002 land rover with only 80,000, miles check engine light keeps coming on with several codes from 001 through 007. the codes say it has a misfire, air induction, and fuel mixture problems. It just had an oil change and runs great. Also when I first start and drive it in the morning it shifts very hard coming out of first. I've only owned the car for 2 months. It has a sealed automatic tranny. I think that the car just needs a tune up and tranny service. I don't know a lot about cars or of any good mechanics that have knowledge and will do work on a car like this without feeding me bs or charging me an arm and a leg please get back to me
since my MOT and having some work done on brakes about month ago the engine warning light flashed for a second them went off again this got worse and more frquent I spoke to garage and they looked and said there was a bit of oil on spark plugs and head gasket that they sorted as was leaking a little. the head gasket was changes about 12 months ago. today the warning light came on constantly. I have checked the coolant and oil and they are fine
Any ideas what is could be or what i need to look at next

and P1471 and 1472 Variable inlet manifold motor (short circuit to ground- to battery)
all freon pressures are good. works very good when it works.no particular sequence or time to the problem
One of the front valve cover bolts is broke. how much whould it cost to tap it snd re thread?

My vehicle is overheating replaced thermostat i bleed the system the fan clutch dont turn in the on position they work unpredictable for a while I ruled out that the head gasket is not damaged . replaced the reservoir . Still overheating gauge shows overheat

my car wont start seems to not getting fuel because it will start on starting fluid. i cannot locate the fuel filter could it be this or the pump or what?
Usually happen first thing in the morning when I start the car but sometime when I am on the road. I heard high pitch frequency noise, seem like it is coming from the dashboard... The noise somthime last from 10 second to 2 mins. I have taken it a few time to the dealer and they can't diagnost the problem...but the sound just doesn't go away... I think there is a probelm since I read other forum and people is having the same problem.
My landrover started to overheat and the fluids were leaking. After investigation it seemed the thermostat housing was split. After repair it is still overheating. The fan cuts on but seems to be after it is too late.
this tiny rubber 'ring' shaped oblong fits neatly into the front assembly of the a/c compressor.
compressor works great but this little rubber seal/gasket is broken in two places. again this rubber/seal gasket is about 1/8inch in cylindrical thickness, fits into a groove on the compressor then the head of the compressor assembly is attached w/ 2 screws, the pressure hose comes in to this head.
Just need to replace this rubber gasket/seal. Have pics...any ideas?

MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, AND THE TRUCK SHUT OFF ON THE HIGH WAY AN I COULDNT GET IT STARTED FOR 20 MINUTES WHAT COULD BE WRONG?THE LIGHT CAME ON WHEN I GOT IT AN THE DEALER SAID OXYGEN JUST GOT INTO THE SYSTEM AN HE RESET THE COMPUTER. SO IT HAPPENED TWICE SO FAR?
collant leaking into the passenger compartment. and windows fogging up
replaced starter because thought solonoid on starter was bad wouldnt start .turn key nothing then keep trying then would start is there another solonoid.New starter worked for 1 week now same problem
