Land Rover Discovery QuestionsRefine by vehicle
The Land Rover discovery has 4 oxygen sensors. I changed 3 of them but on the front driver side one I just can not get the socket on there. Is there another way of doing this or do I need to come up from under which means i will have to take lots of parts off.
Is this a common problem to this car and what is the most common solution. Is there a way to test the motor for the sunroof or could it be the switch?
What is wrong and how can I fix whatever is wrong. The brakes seem to work fine and when I try to read the codes I get nothing.
For some reason I can't get the window on the passenger side to close all the way.
When I drive down the road, unless it is perfectly straight my Land rover seems to bounce up and down quite violently.
I've had to replace the battery three times in the last five months.
Car gas been running fine, no problems. Checked the battery, it's charged; oil is full & clean; has plenty of gas. When I turn the key it sounds great as if it's gonna start, but it doesn't! HELP! It's such a good solid car truly w/o problems!!
Not sure where to plug in a tester to see where the problem would be
It was sitting for some time when I bought it .... battery is not fully charged right now butt I'm getting good power thru the dash lights it seems .
Tps shows wide open all the time
Back fires when running
Low rpms when at a idle
Also have checked all the sensors out of the car and they seemed to be working .
How do you know when your camshaft sensor is bad?
I want to know if it is possible for a do it yourself guy to replace power steering pump. It could be a leaking hose also?
This was towed to my shop, owner mentioned previous sunroof leaks (left open) now it won't start
running and stop make a noise and shake and what can I do ?
Had the power steering pump and the serpent belt replaced. Motor was oily from power steering fluid, so I washed it. Started right up, ran a little rough, only drove it about 1 mile. The next time it was driven it died and after about 1 hour started back up. It will run for about 6 minutes and shuts down again. It repeatedly does this. It takes about 1 hour before you can get it to start back up. Have replaced the fuel pump, the cam position sensor and the crank position sensor and it still does the same thing. I'm sure that it is an electrical problem, but don't know where else or what else to do. Dos any one know of a solution or what the problem may be.
Key fob worked until car battery reset everything. Now only way to unlock car is to stick the key into the door.
engages and disengages. Tried new relays, no help
it runns good otherwise
oil light icon has come on
But no water in the oil or spark plugs. Do you think this is a blown head gasket or cracked head or What?
oil changed 3 months ago , I have driven 3000 miles
my next oil change was set for 160,000 on my spedo.
but my spedo changed to 256,679 on its own . now I know I have not driven that much in 3 months.
and can show all other oil changes the past year or so .
also I have 3 lights that cam up on my dash at the same time.
ABS, TC , And a light with a picture showing my truck going down hill with a "line underit"
Land Rover is overheating after replace thermostat, there's no water in my oil, and when I look under the hood after running it a bit there's a little smoke coming from my exhaust pipe that connects to the motor located right in the center under the engine , is that a blown head? What do I do? I can't afford that type of mechanic work
