I Just did a major repair on my car, it all started with car wont strat at all. it was a bad starter. I replaced the starter and adjusted ignition timing for smog. Two days later car broke down on the freeway and the radiator cracked due to excessive pressure. this time it was timing belt failure. I replaced timing belt, water pump and radiator and thermostat and all hoses. I paid over 900$ for the job. Next day after i picked my car, when i was taking my car back from lunch car wont start again. battery is on , starter is working engine is cranck and make GRR GRR sounds then dont start, itried acouple time and finally it worked. later i notice it only does that when you turn the key have way(ideal or ignition switch) and leave it for a couple seconds after that it wont start. if you take the key out and turn immediately it will start fine. Battery is 3 month old, sparks are new, all other possible connection is fine. NOT SURE WHAT IS THE PROBLEM/
Lower timing cover was tore up when the belt broke and won't have new one for 2 weeks need car to go work have put new belt on so car runs

Wont stay running if i turn the key and let it go. But if i crank it and let the key stay about half way it will stay running.Raido works when its in acc. But when i get it started the radio wont stay on heat or cig lighter.? Heat went out first then a few weeks later "yesterday" this started happening. I noticed the RPM went crazy then check engine light popped on and car died. Took me about 20 mins. To realize if i cranked it over and held the key half way it would stay running. Problem was i have a stick so i had to have my gf who dont no how to drive one shift for me while i steered and held the key till we made it home. I know you probably lost but if there is some one who has had or heard of this problem please shed a little light on how to go about fixing this. Thank you

In the winter. And we got a cold snap nd i never drove it for a few days.
When i started it up next my idle was terrible and would just stall out. It ran perfect before.
My ecu has had some codes like o2 sensor. But i just had it replaced
Tps also had replaced before..
The biggest change in my ecu was it now shows the cylinder position sensor..
I have had it to the shop and they said my distributor was done and changed it.. But fixed nothing.. The said my computer was done. But i think they didnt want to get into it.
I have a air/fuel gauge and once warm runs so lean it doesnt register. Would that mean that my air is rich and gas is lean? If so could any lines have froze causing water in tank? Will putting gas line antifreeze in gas tank get that water out.. Completely stuck
This happened in march and still runs bad? Would any water have come out by now?
already check all part and found no d/c supply to compressor.. pls guide us tq
Got a 88 honda crx with a 92 put in it. car starts and idols real rough then dies in a matter of seconds. Friends thought they could fix it but weather and priorities got in the way. Engine is in just needs to be wired up right and radiator put in. Couple thing bolted down and new motor mount put in. I have fluids mount and radiator already. Just want an estimate on the price of labor i should expect.
Recently, delivering sandwiches from Jimmy John's, I started to smell rubber. Pulled to the nearest parking lot in which happened to be an auto repair shop. I'm completely lost so go over and ask their mechanic to come take a look. He said timing belt because the smoke was coming from inside that white compartment. If it didn't pop could that mean its loosened? which may explain the scraping noise from under the hood? It's got swapped with a '95 civic engine, I think d15b6, though I'm not positive. Said to have around 160k on it.
It happens on take off and just doesn't feels like it doesnt have the power it used to, already changed spark plugs and o rings on valve cover as there was oil getting in the spark plug wells
The check engine light on my 89 CRX recently started coming on, usually after I've been driving it for awhile. When I got the chance I checked what the code was and it was 12. After doing some looking I found out that its the EGR Lift Sensor, but I don't know what that means for my car. How will that affect my car and how can it be fixed?
I have an '89 CRX HF and in the past week my car has stared to surge while in idle. I noticed that it only happens when the clutch is not engaged, and the battery light has come on. When I first start my car it will rev up to 2000 rpm without touching the gas, then it falls to a more normal idle speed and surges between 1000 and 15000 rpm. Also, battery light will turn off when I'm at Rpm's above 2000
What do you recommend?
i have a 1990 crx si and the driver side front wheel is about 1/4 of an inch from hitting the bottom corner when the wheel is turned correctly and the other side is fine.
so whats wrong and how do i fix this?? please help! thank you!
I have a 1986 honda crx HF. How do you test the igniter? I have a 4 pole igniter and the books show how to check a 2 pole igniter.Is the HF different from the other crx?

I have a honda crx hf with a 1.5L that will not start. It will try to start but will not run. It almost sounds like the timing is off. Before it stopped running it was idling really high around 3000 rpm.
Why is my tach bouncing 86 1.5 litre 4 cylinder. I replaced the timing belt a few months ago recently my car started making loud loud noise while Rachel reving to 300rpm I replaced the distributor still doing it
my car starts fine,runs fine intermittently after running it for about 15 mi,the engine sometimes stutters,loses power until you floor it. taken it to my garage and to the honda dealer. they have no clue as to whats wrong with it.
This engine stalls after going through a puddle and is hard to start after a rain, even if it was just sitting in the driveway. The distributor stays dry so I don't think it is an ignition problem. The air intake tube has been removed because the mount on the radiator is broken. Everything else is stock. Timing belt is good and adjusted properly, new plugs and wires (9 months old), ignition timing is good. I have had several modules in the distributor and it still does it.
battery checks 12.45v before engine start...after engine start battery checks 14.19v... if you rev motor up just alittle battery voltage starts dropping slowly down to 12.50v....when engine is warm and with headlights on idle surges up and down if headlights turned off surge stops. please help
ii bought the car and i have changed the injectors, and gave it a tune up. it still does not run right. after start up if you hit the gas it bogs down, but if you take you foot offthe gas and get back on it it reves up fine. i cant figure it out.
i have a 1990 crx it dosent ideal snd over heats if it dose and it will die if i turn off the ac what could that be
between 2,000 and 2,300 rpm engine miss?
I have an 88 CRX Dx that had we had finally worn the original motor out. A buddy put a 1990 civic dx motor with 70,000 miles on it into my car. I changed everything major but the computer and wireing harness.
The car starts and runs but if I hammer down on the gas it will stutter and backfire, then stall out unless I push the clutch in before it dies. they thought the timeing was off so we fixed that issue but it still backfires and dies if you push gas to hard or drive up an incline....even tring to get it up on a car hauler it dies!
Im confused and desperate for advise...she was my first car and had her for over 5 years. I want my baby back! Any help is much appreciated.
