Starter won't engage by key switch,jump the starter with a screwdriver and engine turns over.

Is there any way the oil pump can be checked if the truck does not start.I have been told by a mechanic that either the oil pump is not working or it is leaking(0 rings)How can I believe him if he says it is the oil pump.I was told the pump is worth $1400.00

SOMEONE PUT 5 GALLONS OF GAS IN MY DIESEL DROVE IT 8 MILES THEN IT SAT FOR 72 HRS I DROPPED THE FUEL TANK CLEANED IT OUT AFTER PUTTING BACK DROVE TO STORE PUMPED 10 GALLONS OF DIESEL WITH HALF OF DIESEL INJECTION CLEANER ALSO DIESEL STARTED AGAIN NOW LOSS OF POWER ONLY UP TO 15 MPH STRAINING TO GET TO THAT SPEED SO ALL LOSS OF POWER AND WHITE SMOKE IS BARRELING OUT OF TAILPIPE NON-STOP THICKER WHEN PUSHING GAS PEDAL.IT DID THIS WHEN I BOUGHT THE TRUCK 5 MONTHS AGO BUT NEVER DID IT AGAIN.IT DOES THIS WHEN I GET TO A QUARTER TANK OF GAS LEFT.HAVE HALF A TANK NOW.DROVE IT FOR 2 HRS TRYING TO GET THE GAS OUT OF THE LINES

3 gallons of gold extra duty coolant in diesels 25.00 x3 flush and sealer 20.00 even if we didnt charge for flush additive that only leaves a small amount for labor.Your proper investigation would be appreciated.People take you serious and if Im higher than your figures then I apppear to be the dishonest shop.

Ive added 3 to 4 gallons of oil every three days and its gone with no smoke no leaks just oil burning faster than any truck ive ever seen. When the oils filled back in the truck to its recommed level in less than 3 days its out and the truck will lose all power shut down and the check engine lights come on.. any ideas? corry little

I have no tail lights, fender lights or tag lights. all cab lights, turn lights back up lights and head lights work. I can not find what fuse to check in the owners manual they don't list a fuse for tail lights. I have checked the plug from the frame to the bed.

My 2007 F350 4x4 has 45,000 miles and the steering is so loose it is hard to drive, all the steering components are good. I think it is in the steering box, how do I correctly adjust it.
I have encountered a problem with white smoke emitting from the exhaust in my 2000 F550 chassis v-10 engine motorhome. Head was actually leaking antifreeze through the casting and into the exhaust. To replace both heads with parts and labor I paid $7560.49. This seems crazy expensive to me. Their shop rate is $112.00 an hour and quoted 34 hours to perform, parts totaled $3,050. I couldn't find anything to dispute this price until now. Hope you can help.

I have a 2005 F-350. I have a problem that when it was cold it was hard to start. Now it's hard to start at any time. You have to crank on it several times before it starts. Holding the key on gives a code of TBC is at fault. Is that the throttle body control and how much is it and is it a Ford only item. Is it easy to replace.

TRASMISSION TENDS TO SKIP THIRD GEAR SOMETIMES , GOES RIGHT TO OVERDRIVE , SOMETIMES EVEN WITH THE OVERDRIVE SHUT OFF ,ALSO SECOND GEAR SEEMS TO SHIFT A LITTLE HARD ,TRUCK HAS 120,000 MILES ON IT , HAVENT CHANGED FLUID LATELY , A COUPLE PEOPLE TELL ME IT NEEDS REBUILT ?
Fuel filters, oil & filter changed 500 miles ago, purchased fuel and put in diesel fuel conditioner 70 miles ago. The fuel conditioner is "Power Service" Diesel Fuel Conditioner, and the 15 gals. of fuel was bio diesel from Shell. About 5 miles ago the truck started fine but after driving it for 4 or 5 miles it began to lose power. Long story short what I found was the truck would start fine when it was cold but after it warmed up it began to lose power until it died. Yesterday I removed, cleaned and reinstalled the EGR valve but it still runs the same. Any ideas?
