do I replace buls
Even when you press the accelerator but when you turn the truck off and back on right away it picks up speed.
The upper and lower ball joints are tight would the axel cause them to fail
It has the miss all the time while idling and has always gotten low gas milage
my truck was overheating and all fluids were accurate! i was hauling a gooseneck with minimal weight
Especially while sitting and idleing I will notice the engine rpms fluttering and even while driving around town at half throttle I notice some fluctuation. Sometimes after stopping at a stop sign, it won't throttle up (no response on the footfeet pedal). Sometimes you are in the intersection before you know it's failing you, making for some dangerous situations and making other driver very mad at you. If you kill the engine or shut it off (in an attempt to reset the computer) it won't start again. Sometimes the engine code light comes on, and sometimes it doesn't. This problems has been going on for more than 2 years. I've had the pickup in 4 times and they replace turbos (twice), and egr vales (twice), but the problem keeps reacurring. It was it the Ford shop from Wednesday through Saturday last week and came home with a new egr valve and trubo. It sat in my garage over the weekend and on Monday after hooking it to my stock trailer and hauling 1 load of cattle, it was fouled up again and unuseable.
Loss power would not move go dead in drive put in neutral idle fine step on gas pedal black smoke started comming from tail pipe killed truck crank back up and has been running ever since but still is blowing black smoke out of tail pipe when idle and when u press gas more smoke pours out of pipe what could this be put a can of sea foam in tank after this started thinking bad fuel maybe
2006 Ford F250 Super Duty 6.0 turbodiesel.
I change out the master cylinder, all calipers and the rubber hoses that go to them. A mechanic told me that someone must have put something petroleum base in the system due to the rubber seal on the cap swelling. No no fluid will move through the system when I pump the brakes and try to bleed them.
Started out on camp trip, got to the first hill, and the truck was floored and only made it to 30mph.
it blowed about 6 in a row, hauled it home then put a fuse in it cranked drove it about 2 miles now it is doing it again.
I took my truck to the Chevy dearlership and they over filled my oil and now my rear seal is leaking. I have been told that I will have to lift the cab to drop the transmission. Is this true and are there any other options if it is?
all the time, it ends up continuing to lock tighter till it chokes us. Local Ford dealership wants $450. to fix it. First owner said it did the same thing to them from the day they drove it off the lot new. We want it replaced before it becomes a lawsuit issue cause it has slammed tight and choked one of us. light comes on under boost and when i turn it off and restart it does not come back on
Diesel pick up was running fine. Al of a sudden it stop running. I noticed the oil has water in it. What could be the cause.
oil cooler, egr, fuel filters and pump replaced after oil leaked into coolant system. Engine took apart and flused 5 times. worked ok about 30 days then when started ran til enging warmed up then acted like fuel was being slowly cut off about 2 min. til stopped running. won't start again til cooled off.
Truck will shut down and not restart. Would like to know what caused this? We have replaced valve once and drove about 10 miles. Shutdown happened again.
Drained oil, replaced filter and sender gauge still won't start.
after pulling my horse trailer the steering would get hard but not all the time changed the steerig box and steering shuck but still does it but not all the time hard to steer but then lets go then it is easy again sometimes hard to keep on the road started messing up after pulling the horse trailer

engine light comes on
We have a 2001 F250 with a automatic transmission. One day it started acting like it didn't want to excel from a stopped position, then not to long it just would drive only in reveres. Have had it worked on once for same problem. Then some bolts on the inside had worked lose. Really need to know how to tell if going to need replace and how much to expect to pay. husband has changed fluids and filters, and some type of sensors
Runs fine going forward but when I put it in reverse it starts bogging down and dies. Starts back up. Sometimes it doesn't do it. Any ideas
I have heard it's two, I just want to be sure.
Had performed diagnostics on it 3 days ago but showed no code .nothing. but the engine isnt firing on all cylinders. Had replaced all plugs amd wires gapped to specifics. Still wasnt firing on all cylinders. So had ordered all new coils from jegs.com and after replacing 1, 2, 5, 6 the truck would shut down . Acting like it wasn't getting air to the engine. What is the most common valveb in the 99 f250 super duty 5.4 5 speed manual? 2 or 3
So the truck has been to the dealership twice by the first owner and me, the second owner for the same problem. White smelly smoke generally happens after I stop and then go or simply slow down and then accellerate. It also happens while just driving along at a steady speed. The dealership said there was no codes on the OBC and to just drive it until it doesn't stop, then they'll know what to fix.
The coolant fluid level is fine, no coolant in the oil either. The first owner had one of the EGR valves replaced, could it be the othe one gone bad now?
Does Anyone have any solutions to problem.. I know he has changed some sensors and stuff.. not sure exactly what. Thanks For the help.
changed battery in july drove over 1500 miles since
its been a month and there are no codes coming up
and still nothing
motion to move a little, but wont lock or unlock!useing key ring same thing...
also abs light comes on. What is causing this? Thanks
