Have bypassed the ignition switch by installing the relevant value of resistor between switch and bulkhead wiring block. But security light keeps coming on ( steady ) car runs perfect, light will go out while driving for a couple of days, then will come back on. The car will start if the light is on most of the time but every now and then will have wait for 3 minutes for it to reset. Is there a permanent fix without having to buy new TDM.? Have come across a full vats bypass module on the net, anybody know anything about this bypass module and would it be worth buying one. Any help with this problem would appreciated.
1973 buick riviera, 455 big block, just replaced spark plugs and wires. Everytime i press the gas it is doin it, it idles perfectly fine but in referse or drive it sputters
gauges wont work. just says error.when test button is pushed every thing lights up ,but gauges don't work
has no gauges,speedo ,etc
The tranny is not slipping if you speed up it goes away??
no pulse to injecters checked wiring fuses relays all ok
just need to know what type of transmission fluid to use
The car is hard to start, and when started runs real rough for a few minutes. From everything I have read, its either the fuel pump, the fuel filter or maybe the fuel pump relay.
Using AC Delco parts, what would this cost to repair/replace.
My car makes a grinding sound, then the check engine light comes on but it doesn't stay on for long and the grinding sound stops.
motor wont crank, starter has been tested and is good, i can hear the relay in the console clicking and i have switched it with my high beams relay and still nothing...? i have a raised chip on my key so i guess it has an anti theft mechanism but no security light is on , could it be my neutral safety switch ?? and how would i trouble shoot the NSS? i heard by putting it in other gears and trying to urn it over and to see if my reverse lights come on when its in the reverse position ??? please help..
The car stopped while I was driving and will not turn over when I attempt to start it. It just cranks but will not turn over the engine as if it is out of gas but it is full.
Replaced starter less than 20,000 miles ago...Also when warming very rough. Had this problem before went away after replaced starter now is back

I replaced the fuel pump, but it runs like crap now. The relay, and fuses r fine. It spits and sputters, and won't accelerate at all. I don't have a lot of cash to sink into it, so hopefully I can get a idea of what's wrong with help from someone here
I stopped kind of hard and heard a loud pop and right away my break pedal went to the floor. it will still stop but it goes all the way down??? What should I do?
Thought it could be an electrical issue, a sensor, fuel injectors. After having some things replaced and taking it to 3 different shops , it still is having the same starting issue. We then noticed it only does it after weve been driving for a little bit. The other day we noticed the temperature was up to 250 when it happened again, it normaly runs at 195.

when i start my car sometimes it very rough i keep driving and it stop what could it be.
My 1995 Buick Riviera starts to run hot after a while of driving it. The water pump is circulating the coolant. The temp on the the dash reads past 200 but does not go all the way to the red mark. What could be the problem? Need help. Also the catalytic converter makes a knocking sound when the car is running but at most times the knocking is silent.

Brought a new pump from autzone, they said it was located in the bottom of the washer fluid resivoir. It's not.

I got me a 97 Buick Riviera Supercharged 3800 series II engine. when i got the car those lights were already on. the vehicle also had a bad pulley on the alternator so i got a new alternator itself and got me some new spark pluggs while i was there . everything works fine car rides smooth but my "abs light, check engine ,and battery light" are still on now keep in mind the battery light appeared after i installed the new alternator but the alernator has been tested various times and passed every test. if u could help it would be great ! thanks.
checked all plugs, wires and coil packs they are fine, O2 sensors and mass air flow sensor are also new as well as fuel filter. now it is smiking bad from exhaust, and oil drips from mufflers, rough idle revs and stalls
I must have left my trunk open and my battery drained because all the lights and power options didnt work. I tried juicing up the battery with my house charger hook up and when i do, the fans turn on without me putting the key in the ignition. The car still wont have enough juice to get it cranking. What would cause that problem?
Sometimes my air bag light comes on sometimes stays on and sometimes flickers along with all other interior lights and when using my headlights it does the same.My security light has started coming on and sometimes doesn't. We have replace the computer brain and it is not it. When hooking the computer to the car it does not put out any codes to what is wrong with it! The mechanics can't figure it out that I have had trying to fix it. Please if anyone has any idea please let me know.
