I'm trying to figure out what might be causing my car to make a loud poping/knocking sound when I turn left or right, go over speed bumps and break suddenly. I had not noticed any other symptoms until today when it started pulling (a little more than slightly) from one side to the other when going around 45 mph. On the upside (or down, I don't know) I didn't hear the poping sound. Any input is welcome!

Well it certainly should be looked at as anything that causes an unusual noise is a sign that something is not normal. It could be a damaged sway bar link or sway bar bushings, or a worn shock absorber mount or one of many other suspension or steering items, hard to comment without hearing the noise first hand or inspecting the car.
