Difficult to put a lot of weight on 'quality of work' since this shop had only tightened bolts for us prior to today's visit but as for service everyone is consistently courteous and responsive (including investigating Mazda recall concerns).
Unfortunately there seems to be a $100 minimum cover charge to dance at this club once you get into a repair needing the slightest bit more effort: we got conflicting stories between the appointment setter and the service agent whether a $100 diagnostic charge would be levied and coincidentally that was the total of our final bill to pull codes and replace a gas cap.
This isn't out of line with where the bill probably would have landed with a few of the other neighborhood shops that gave quotes of a diagnostic charge so I'm assigning an "average" rating - doesn't seem to necessarily be a Dealer premium for the service department here.
