The crankshaft angle sensor or the camshaft position sensor can fail and cause loss of engine power, an engine that cuts out, and other drivability problems. This will cause the Check Engine Light to illuminate. Certain models have been involved in a recall to replace the camshaft and crankshaft sensors. Started noticing a grinding noise from the right front when cornering at low speed. Eventually the noise became constant at low speed. Diagnosed by putting it on a lift, spinning the wheel and wiggling the tire back and forth. Replaced wheel bearing assembly.

Popped open hood to find coolant sprayed all over the top of the engine. Hoses appeared intact. Coolant reservoir was empty. Radiator cap looked fine.

Diagnosed problem by bringing the engine to operating temperature and watching the coolant spray out of the radiator.

Issue was the radiator was cracked along the top (where it is plastic). Replaced the radiator.

The Check Engine Light may illuminate with code P0138, P0140, P0158, and/or P0160 stored. Our technicians recommend replacing the rear oxygen sensor, and reprogramming the vehicle's powertrain control module (PCM) with upgraded software to correct this concern.

It is not uncommon one or both of the exhaust manifolds to crack resulting in an exhaust leak. Symptoms will begin as a ticking type noise noted on acceleration when the engine is cold.

Under warranty the dealer turned the front rotors and added brake air line ventilation mechanism.

The mass air flow (MAF) sensor may fail, resulting in drivability issues and/or illumination of the Check Engine Light.

Vehicles with a 7 speed automatic transmission may experience a harsh downshift from 4th to 3rd gear on deceleration. Our technicians tell us revised control module software is available to correct this concern. On higher mileage vehicles other faults may cause transmission shifting issues. Whenever a transmission repair is performed, the control module should be checked for the latest software and updated if necessary.
