The radio and climate control display can go dark on some models. It will be necessary to replace the affected unit to correct this concern. Some customers have reported receiving help from Honda regarding this repair.

Some models have shift quality problems when shifting into third gear. A new "third gear set" from Honda will address this issue.

An oil leak inside the distributor can cause the engine to misfire resulting in a loss of power. It is common for the distributor to be replaced to correct this concern.

Delphi style alternators on some of the engines have a history of alternator bearing failure. Bearing failure will cause a whining noise coming from the engine compartment.

On some models moisture could make its way into the rear wheel bearing, which would lead to noise. Rear wheel bearing and dust cap replacement will be needed for this repair.

In colder climates, coolant can leak from the connecting pipe.
The car may drift to the right because the camber (alignment setting) is set unevenly. A 4-wheel alignment will be needed to reset the camber angle.

While the engine is cold and in gear, the car may move faster than expected when the accelerator is not pressed. A software update from Honda will fix this concern.

 

A poor electrical ground can cause the dome light not to work.

A long cranking time before the engine starts might require a PCM software update and replacement of the fuel pressure regulator.
The torque converter may not lock up because some models with the automatic transmission may have a faulty thermostat that will not allow the engine to reach normal operating temperature.
The upper windshield molding can vibrate at higher speeds causing a noise. Back filling the molding with a silicone sealer is involved in the repair.
The clutch assist spring on some models can cause a creaking noise from the clutch pedal. A new clutch assist spring will be needed for the repair.
The fuel door may not open far enough to clear the body on some models. Installation of a special spring boot is needed for the repair.

The engine block can crack behind the exhaust manifold and cause an oil leak. Depending upon the severity of the crack it can be sealed to stop the leak.
