A single click or pop may be heard from the rear of the vehicle when the clutch is released. Our technicians tell us the repair involves installing matched hubs and yokes to the rear axle.
The Check Engine Light may illuminate due to an evap system system fault. Our technicians tell us that the purge valve should be checked for debris or carbon contamination. If contamination is found the purge valve and carbon canister should be replace and the EVAP hoses blown out with compressed air. All evap system hoses are subject to cracking and splitting causing leaks, Inspect hoses carefully. Aftermarket gas caps are very prone to failure also.
Leak detection pump failure can be caused by the internal diaphragm switch sticking, or in some cases, contamination from debris or carbon particles from vapor canister. If black carbon particles are present in the LDP, replace vapor canister in addition to LDP. The purge solenoid should also be checked for debris or carbon contamination and replaced as necessary. All evap system hoses are subject to cracking and splitting causing leaks, Inspect hoses carefully. In cases of contamination from carbon particles or debris, all hoses and tubes must be blown out with compressed air to remove contaminates.
The AC/heater (HVAC) system may unexpectedly switch to the defrost mode when accelerating. This system is operated by engine vacuum and should be inspected for any vacuum leaks if this problem develops. There is also a revised vacuum check valve available to address this concern.
Our technicians tell us that there is a Powertrain Control Module software update to correct an intermittent hesitation between 4,000 & 5,000 RPM, or engine spark knock when using 91 octane gasoline.
Some driveline clunk noted on acceleration and deceleration is considered normal.
The electronic entry system may stop working. Our technicians tell us that the entry module should be replaced to correct this issue.
The instrument panel backlighting may flicker most noticeably when the dimmer is set in the 1/2 position. Our technicians tell us that a revised panel dimmer switch module is available to correct this condition.
