when it starts it idles up and down and u can fell it when i try to drive it jerks and and it wont get up past 20 u can smell gas when i go in reverse it will just die

The rear brake lights overheat resulting in the plastic lamp bulb connectors melting and finally the lamp itself breaks a filament. The service lamp filament which is the in the same bulb continues to operate. I tried fitting LED bulbs to try and reduce the current drain, but both burnt out as soon as the brakes were applied.

GM 8-Lug vehicles are known to have a front bushing problem in the lower control arm. To prevent this problem from causing more problems further down the road, the problem should be fixed now. The front bushings work themselves out of the lower control arms. The solution is to press out the front bushing and press it back in from the other direction.
