Reported by Papagiglio for the Cadillac DeVille

under the front left fender/bumper area, there is a electric pump that pushes air into the catalytic converter. It runs for about 45 seconds when you start you car and once in a while there-after. The bearings went out in mine and I tried to repair it, but ended up replacing it. After 8 months, the new one failed. The GM dealer warrantied it and I replaced it again, which now has stopped working again.

Just started last week. This warning has always lit up if I make a sudden stop, but then goes away. Last week it did not go away and now stays on all the time, even though the coolant level is fine.

One or more fuel injectors may become stuck closed causing an engine misfire  and the Check Engine Light to illuminate. Our technicians tell us that this problem can be caused by some fuel additives. There are special procedures which may be able to restore the affected injector. If this fails the affected injector must be replaced.

The air condition compressor has had to be replaced twice and needs to be replaced again. It costs about $1200.00 each time. I can't skip the fixing of it because the bearing freezes up and melts the powers steering belt. If I don't get the new compressor, I won't have power steering. THIS CAR IS THE WORST, Never Ever Again will I own a Cadillac. I am very disappointed.

On the 2003's there is a plastic panel that covers the backup lights...it's about 1'X 3'...I guess it's common for these to just blow off. We just purchased the 03 CTS with only 41000 miles and had driven it for about 2 weeks when we noticed the panel was gone, exposing the backup lights. We choose to fix it right instead of trying to find a replacement at the salvage yard (since it seems to be design flaw because they about non exsistant). S...
