1998 Volkswagen Beetle Question: Problems after replacing fuse box

Question

I replaced the fuse box that sits on top of the battery after finding that one of the fuses had melted part of the fuse box.

Since making the switch, I have not power to the vehicle.

I am certain I reconnected the wires correctly -- marked them before disconnecting.

Any suggestions on what the problem might be and how to troubleshoot?

Thanks.

IF YOU ARE SURE IT IS THE CORRECT PRODUCTION DATE BOX THE BOX MAY BE DEFECTIVE ESPECIALLY IF IT CAME OFF A JUNKER CAR...IF ITS NEW TAKE IT BACK GET A NOTHER ONE OR YOUR MONEY BACK....NO MATTER WHAT THE PARTS PEOPLE SAY ABOUT ELECTRICAL RETURNS!
