I bought a 2004 ford mustang a week ago from a dealer. Now, it refuses to crank at all. There is no clicking noise either. I had the car looked over by three different mechanics and the starter motor, alternator etc look fine. One of them replaced the clutch switch though. Still it sometimes starts and sometimes it doesnt. How to I figure out if the problem is with the ignition switch or the starter solenoid or something else?? HELP!! Thanks, Ambar

You need a real electrical Diagnostic person who can trace all the wiring form the Ignition Switch to the Starter motor and all in between. http://repairpal.com/directory?address=30318&car_brand_names=Ford

Thanks. I guess the best option is to take it to a certified ford dealership rather than local mechanic shops right? Because, I definitely do not want the problem to reoccur ..
