Question: Problem with air conditioner

My air compressor runs, but it blows hot air. What might be wrong? I took it to 3 mechanics and they said the comessor was running, but its still blowing hot air. Do you have any idea about cost to repair this or what I might check to diagnose the problem. I leave tomorrow for a trip to sunny, hot, Florida and the thought of the hot drive has me concerned.

    You probably just need to recharge the AC. Did the mechanics you talked to not offer that? You car is old enough that this may be the fix.

    it may be the sensor on your compressor.

    hi,dear,my 1998 c23 ac works good at morning but when 102 hot weather even thought put freeon and seal leaks pay 300 after two days same story when weather so hot still blow hot air.please help me thank you.
