The casing around the ball joint is supposed to have 2 straight edges in the inner part. Then you can remove with a special tool. But this inner tie rod end is completely round. How do you remove it.

I have had success turning the inner tie rods off with a set of channel locks. I use pieces of flat rubber to get it to grip it very well. I have never seen an inner tie rod that is completely round at the end under the boot. The channel locks will work if you can get a good grip.
