 Rookie

The check engine light came on requiring a full tune up which included replacing 6 spark plugs, gas filter, pcv, air filter, ign. wires, ign coil. Car has only 43,937 miles.

  There is no Check Engine Light code for a complete tune up. There are misfire codes like -> http://repairpal.com/OBD-II-Code-P0300

  If you have misfire codes on a Ford V6, it is best to do both the wires and plugs. It sounds like this shop went over board. The coil pack was most likely just fine at 43k.
