we purchased brand new from dealer lot in june 2009. at 15k mile scheduled service maintenance both rear tires were worn down LR down to 2/32 and RR down to 1/32. front tires were good at both 5/32.Tire pressures were maintained at 30psi which is what is noted on the decal on drivers side panel. Original warranty does not cover tires. The original tires are bridgestone. I am in process of warranty battle with firestone but i fear i may not prevail. has anyone had any similar problem and what was your resolution. any advise would greatly be appreciated. thank you!!! gary

Visitor, June 02, 2010, 18:22ReplyYes I had the same problem with 2007 Honda CRV-EXL, after 17,000 miles, I had to replace tires. But Bridgestone gave me two tires free. Talk to Honda USA and they will give you a correct telephone no for Bridgestone cooperate office. Talk to them and see.
Don't talk to Firestone dealer, they cannot do anything.

Visitor, July 16, 2010, 14:54Purchased our CRV in July 09. Same problem. 19,000 miles and both rear tires are shot. No releif from Honda or Bridgestone. Dealer said if not rotated every 6k, no waranty. Dealer would sell me 2 new tires and suggested an alignment for nearly $500. Went to a Bridgestone dealer and they feel it's alignment.

If the tire are unevenly worn out that meansyour vehicle has alignment problem but I don't think 19000 mile vehicle has that problem. All dealers they try to sell their stuff. Why don't you give another try. Call Honda USA and get the telephone no from them.

Visitor, November 27, 2010, 08:12Replysame here , 2009 CR-V purchased in July/2009 -- just replace all 4 on 11/26/10 with
only 18400 miles. Honda dealer said the OEM tires for both CR-V and Civic are seeing
average of 20000miles. He said present tires maybe good for around 5K.
Just put set of Michelin on / winter is here -- hope these are better. I may write to Bridgestone and see what they may reply back. I was never a fan of Firestone products.Flag ThisLike | 1 person likes this1 -

Visitor, March 22, 2011, 18:57ReplyTalk to Bridgestone cooperate office, no pointing talk to Firestone dealers, looks like your rear differential has a problem, you may need to change the oil in the rear differential. I had the same problem but dealer change the oil and put new clutch plate(rear), there is a Service Bulletin for oil change of the rear differential.
Good luck.Flag ThisLike0
