I was traveling through Austin and needed an emergency repair. The individual (Kerry) was awesome. He did what he could to get me on the road back to my family and recommended follow-up service once I go home. I can't say enough about his service. Great experience!!
Went in for a much needed oil change, they were able to fit me in for brake repair after the oil change. All done in the same day.
Better get there early on Saturday, the line fills up fast.
Great work. It was a fair but not great price. I have had timing belt and water pump done for a fair amount less at local shop in Maine where I live for a similar car. But still think you guys did were great.

The two guys who performed inspection on my car also replaced a turn signal bulb. They were both very nice and provided good service. Numerous people with Groupon discounts came in for service and the two guys did the best they could, considering the high demand that day because of those costumers. I've been going there for a few years to get my inspection done and always receive good service.
It is easy to like Kerry and the gang at Lamar. They still have other repairs to complete, and were not able to get to them in the time I had to leave the van, so they completed the most pressing issues in order for me to be able to get back on the road to make a living.
It was a good. Just recommend cleaning the reception desk and sitting area.

I normally love this shop, but this last time, I was not very happy. My brakes were supposed to be fixed last time I brought my car in, and they were not bled correctly so the mechanic said I had basically been driving with no brakes at all for the last 2 months or since I had brought my car in last time, and then returned because it was not fixed properly. But I will still go back probably because I have been a loyal customer for a while.
Would love if the wait were 50% shorter and the bathroom were clean.
Kerry's team has always done a great job taking care of my car and only mentioning what my car actually needs. It's that level of trust that keeps me coming back.
Todd was rude and very unprofessional. I had to take my vehicle some where to be repaired for the same problem and at the new place I was told that the part that was to fix my vehicle wasn't installed all the way, it was partially hanging out.

I brought my car there for overheating. First I was told it was the housing and an oil. $620.00 should fix the problem. It would be ready the next day. Next day, comes they order the wrong part. No big deal, I tell them I can't pick up the car until Saturday anyway and we all agree that works. Saturday morning, while I am on my way to pick up my car, the garage calls to tell me bad news: your car is still overheating, we don't know what's wrong but we'll run some tests and let you know. I get a call back and I need a whole new radiator and water pump. I decide to call it a wash pay for the first repair and take my car home as is and maybe consider getting a used car. The manager says no problem, we'll put it back together, it will be ready when you get here. I arrive to the get the car, only to be told there is no way I am going to get it back home in this condition. So after a long conversation I end up agreeing to an extra repair to replace my radiator and water pump (they had already replaced the housing and thermometer). My car is ready that night I bring it home and for one week everything is fine. Then it overheats again, there is no flow happening because heat was not even coming out of the vents. I tow it back that Saturday and they tell me they will call me and let me know what's going on. Monday rolls around and late afternoon I haven't heard anything. When I call they say that my keys were sitting on the desk and they had no idea what they were for because the gentleman I had been dealing with had quit but they will take a look and call me when they take a look at it. Wednesday afternoon rolls around and I haven't heard anything back so I give them a call and they tell me that the hoses were never changed when I was there which is why my car overheated again. The manager never communicated to the technician that the hoses needed to be changed even though I was charged for it. Why in the world would I agree to have my housing, thermostat, radiator and water pump all replaced, pay $1400, but not the hoses? Wouldn't the mechanic question that? So, they are changing them and my car is ready for pick up now but quite honestly now I just feel suspicious and wonder what else was 'forgotten'. Hopefully the problem is fixed and I won't have to go back. I will say that the employees were never rude, they just didn't deliver on their services.

It is rarely encouraging to find a plastic belt cover (non-functional, mostly aesthetic) cracked when opening the hood. Using zip-ties to fasten it and the hoses that attach to it is pretty amateur-ish. It's something I would do and I have done as a temporary fix. Even tho it is a non-functional piece, the right thing to do would be to tell me about it and let me decided if I wanted it replaced or not. I'm 100% certain that piece was not cracked / messed up before hand. This isn't the end of the world, but I am disappointed. It makes question whether or not I can trust the shop with bigger jobs.

Service is not bad, it just took way to long to oil change. Apart from that, their services is great.
The shop was recommended by a co-worker. I took my 08 Prius in because it seemed to be overhearing. They ran a diagnoses and concluded it was the battery causing false reactions. I ended up paying $500 for a battery replacement. The day after I pick my car from the shop, it does the same thing again. I take it in and they say it's actually the radiator and possibly the can assembly. I was upset because they should've figured that out the first time.
Overall, I felt good about the experience. My only complain would be that I was given a pretty loose approximation of when it might be done. I called to check (thinking I could get a better estimate later in the day), I was told it had been done for a bit. It would've been nice if I'd gotten a call when it was done...especially since I was just told 'It'll be later today' when I dropped it off.
It was ok. They had a coffee machine.

Everyone at my Precision is wonderful and all my friends and family know it. I moved about 30 minutes further away, and I would still never even think about going anyplace else! Shout out to Kerry and Takis. You guys are the best!
When we first went in, there was some confusion about whether or not we could leave our cars/if we had appointments but when we went back in the second time an older gentleman was at the front and he told us that they could in fact keep our cars until they worked on them. So he was very helpful and made our experience very positive.

Exceptional customer service. I've been coming here for years and will keep doing so because I feel I can trust them to be honest with me about my car and what it needs and doesn't need. They stay busy (I believe it's because a lot of other people feel like me about this particular business), so sometimes you have to be prepared to wait, but it's well worth it.
I asked for a few things: Brakes, new rotors, an alignment and oil change and possibly a check engine light was on (turned out it was just a maintenance needed light). Explained to guy behind the counter what was going on when I got there around 8 am, when I brake the steering wheel pulses and usually that's an indication to check the rotors, he asked if there was any pulsating in the brake peddle, I said no not that I've noticed, he said okay we'll look at those. I asked if he thought it was possible to get all that done today. It'll probably be ready at the end of the day. I get there around 4. It wasn't until around 6ish that they were 'done'. Main guy says mechanic 'smoothed out' my rotors and it was still pulsating in the steering column when braking. That maybe it was better than it was and maybe it'll fix itself after driving 100 miles. In the end, I didn't get new rotors that I asked for, I wasn't going to wait for that service, or come back. I didn't get an alignment. I did get an oil change, new brakes, 'smoothed out' rotors (not new ones) and I did end up gaining WORSE steering wheel pulsating when braking and NOW my brake pulsates as well when I brake, like dangerously so.
Loved them, worth the wait!

Very friendly and took time to explain what was wrong and things I can do to improve the life of my car. Did not ever feel like you were trying to sell me on unnecessary, expensive services, very honest.

5 hour wait for an oil change everyday/at any time of day is highly unlikely. I don't believe my car keys should have been left in my car with my car open when I came to pick up. Should be kept secured in building.
I went in because I had a Groupon for a headlight restoration and oil change. They forgot to do the headlight restoration and didn't put the cap back for the oil so oil was spewing out of my car for days.
Love these guys! Kerry and his crew were amazing and, as a female I trust these guys to perform anything on my car and not ever try to tell me something unnecessary!

The North Lamar location is great, I've been taking my truck there for years. Kerry is always great to deal with. Today, Shawn was there and he was very helpful. When an unexpected issue came up with my truck just before closing he made sure to get it taken care of so that I could get my truck back that day instead of waiting another day. I really appreciate that. Top notch service!

I went in for a battery and was quoted $169 for an Interstate battery. I thought this was pretty expensive. Also, I was told about 2 hours yet I had to call them 4-5 hours later just for them to tell me it was done.
Was very busy, got my car done anyway because he knew I needed it. Always go here so long as Kerry is in charge. Guy is fantastic.
This was the worst experience I've had at this Precision Tune Auto Care. I took my car in for an oil change at around 8:30. I wasn't done until four hours later. The next day I had my tires done with an alignment. Again, four hours later, not finished. The alignment wasn't done. What really got me was that the guy charged me for the alignment without doing it. I will probably not go back.

I really appreciate Todd breaking down the process and explaining things to me concerning my brakes and always informing me of any changes throughout the process. Though I could tell it was a busy day at the shop he never once showed it in his tone of voice or got short with me. Today I had a fantastic experience!
Done promptly and one up-charge was explained clearly and was reasonable.
The experience was quick. I just needed an inspection. Due to extensive work being done on other cars the acting manager decided to go ahead and inspect my car so I did not have to wait long.
Three trips, promised to get me in, kept me waiting, then told me they were too busy.
These guys were great, gave me the best quote out of 6 other shops I asked. The job was done on time and my runs perfectly now. Will return to Precision if ever needed again.
I've had my car looked at twice for a check engine light issue and both times it came right back on after getting the car back. I feel it was misdiagnosed at the shop.
The work I had performed was from a Groupon. Although the work was performed well, the shop itself was not clean and the person behind the desk told everyone that waited in that anything they requested would take 3 hours. It still took three hours. I only had my headlights cleaned.

Kerry did a good job of preparing my car for a cross country drive.
Car wheel nuts where screwed wrong. Owner didn't take responsibility when I went back to get it fixed. Charged extra to fix it. On top of that, charged outrageous to replace a tail light bulb! Decided to never go again back to the shop.

They took a long time to get to my car, but when they finally did they did a good job on the much needed wheel alignment.
Absolutely zero customer service and zero confidence Poor communication, rude service - everything was just a big joke. No consideration for customer convenience. Was promised a call with an estimate and I had to call back 3 times. Twice I got voicemail, no messages were returned. Getting info to arrange transportation was like pulling teeth. Kept my car overnight but I was not told this until I tried to pick it up. When I discovered the problem had not been resolved and called back he said 'it most certainly had' would not listen to my concerns but interrupted and said I better drop the car off at 7:30 (they open at 8:00) or there would be a 4 hour wait before they could look at the car. Will not recommend or return.

I've had service from this shop for a few years now, and was always quick to give them a great reference. My most recent experience had me coming back twice. No big deal I understand certain problems can lead to other problems. $1500 later my car is drinking oil and smells like it's burning oil after the engine gets hot (sometimes smoking) before this repair I was aware I have had an oil leak, but never to this degree! Not sure i want to bring it back to them!

I have been a customer at this location for over 5 years and since then I have gone through 2 cars. Every time I have needed services the manager Keri and his staff have always gone above and beyond to find out and problems with my vehicles. The prices are very reasonable.
I was told they were short staffed & swamped, and that the wait for my oil change would take an hour and a 1/2. I was fine with that, but my wait ended up being 3 & 1/2 hours! For an oil change! No one bothered to check in with any of us waiting on our vehicles. The only plus side was the low price.

I never feel like I'm being scammed at Precision. You do what I ask, and in the event something else is needed it serves as recommendation and doesn't feel forced. I would have liked someone to call me once my car work was complete. Perhaps this was an assumption on my part, but when I told the individual checking me in that I'd be walking home I expected them to follow-up with a call. Not a huge deal, just a misunderstanding.

I think the work they do is honest and fairly priced.
My car has a factory defect that yet to have a recall. When I took it to Precision Tune I took it for a tune up and oil change, which they provided quickly and efficiently. They also convinced me to let them try and fix the brake issue that many of this model have. They could not fix it before I needed to leave, but when I brought the car back a few hours later, they worked on it until after closing. The manager asked me to bring it back the next time I was in town and let them work on it some more. I brought it back twice more and they labored on it for several hours. I think PTA has done everything possible to try and fix a problem that ultimately will have to fixed by a factory recall.
