Being a woman I find that I am always taken advantage of at shops. I have had various mechanics and the result is always the same, large bill and the issue is still there. I found Precision after a friend recommended me to them. I've been a customer of theirs for about 3 years and I couldn't be happier. I could go on for days about the wonderful service and excellent quality of work I receive. I would like to thank my friend for turning me on to them and I would like to thank Precision for setting the bar higher than their competition. Great job guys!!
My car was at the point where I was ready to get rid of it because I kept having problems. I found Precision on this site and decided to use them after talking to many different shops about my car. I got my car right in. They gave me an honest assessment of what was going on with my car. They eased my mind and gave me a maintenance plan in writing so I can lessen my chance for costly repairs. That was about 6 months ago. I haven't had 1 single issue with the car since then. I think everyone should do business like them.
I like to drive an expensive car but I don't like paying a lot to maintain it. I'm also much like other women that don't notice a problem until it's too late. I've been going to James and the guys at Precision for about 4 to 5 years now and I would never think of going anywhere else. He is extremely honest and dependable. I highly recommend Precision to anyone that drives a car, you won't be let down.... :-)~
I had been going to the dealer for years until my sister told me about her experiences at precision. I have been a customer of theirs for about 3 years. James is always seems to "go the extra mile" to make my experience a good one. They are always honest and have my vehicle ready in a reasonable amount of time. I highly recommend giving them a chance.
I went to Precision when I had my check engine light come on. I figured it was going to be an expensive ordeal. Within an hour they had me out of there and actually repaired my issue by adding some oil..... They charged me for the time they spent diagnosing the issue plus the long overdue oil change. I am more than happy with the level of service I have received
I have always gone to the dealer for service. But everytime I would go in there they would tell me I need major repairs. I found this odd because I drive a newer car. I researched local shops and found Precision Auto in Springfield. I went in and asked a few questions so that I could get to know the shop I was dealing with. If I don't have my car I can't work so it's very important that I trust my mechanic. I was greeted by a man named James. I asked a few questions to get a feel for his skill level and problem solving ability. Feeling confident with the shop I made an appointment for the next day to have them look at the list of issues that the dealer said I needed to repair. Not only did they show me that the car was ok, they showed me the parts and went through the inspection with me and explained the parts function so that if I do have an issue with the car I can identify it before it becomes a major problem. I was blown away with the professionalism. There's a reason why these guys are always busy. It's because they know what they're doing and people can trust them. Their prices are less than the dealer but slightly more than most private shops. But I don't mind paying more and knowing that the job will be done right the first time
During a long drive yesterday from northern New Hampshire to our home outside of New York, through a bad snow and sleet storm, my wife and I noticed some vibration in our Subaru Outback and pulled off Rt. 91 in Springfield to find an auto repair shop that could check it out.
We stumbled upon Precision Auto Repair, pulling into the parking lot just as James Stephenson, the owner, wearing a Red Sox cap, stepped out of the office door. You never know what kind of reception you're going to get in Massachusetts if you've got NY tags on your car, but James kindly offered to go for a test drive with us on the highway to check out the problem. (And I reassured him that despite the NY plates, I was a native Bostonian and Patriots fan, still miffed by the Pat's loss to the trash-talking Jets a few days previous).
Not seeing any noticeable vibration in any of the wheels during our test drive, James offered to put the car up on the lift in his shop and check it out more closely. After cleaning out the wheel wells of ice and hardened slush, he and a member of his crew checked each of the wheels thoroughly and noticed that one of them had a flat spot, the likely cause of the car's vibration. Nothing dangerous they said, but they advised us to check the car and have the wheel replaced when we got home.
As we were getting ready to leave, we asked James what we owed him for his work, and he replied that it was free of charge. Wow. How often does that happen these days? This kind of experience really restores your faith in humanity.
In short, I would highly recommend Precision Auto Repair to anyone having car issues, whether they be local residents or just passing through.
Many thanks James to you and your crew!

My vehicle broke down on I91. I Usually service my own vehicle because I'm not very trusting. The tow company recommended taking my car to Precision. The staff was very helpful. They gave me a ride home and took a look at it the next morning. They found that therer was a problem with 2 ignition coils. My vehicle was finished by 10am. I experienced very little down time. When I got the vehicle back I looked everything over. I didn't see even 1 grease print or smudge anywhere. The quality of the repair far exceeds the cost. I feel that Precision was extremely fair and helpful. I no longer service my own vehicle, I just let the professional pros at Precision handle everything for me.
I've been going to Precision for BMW service for about 3 years now. I view my car as a large investment because of the price I paid and the fact that I need it on a daily basis to work. I find that they are very thorough and their price is very reasonable. I am always happy when I leave that shop because they just make me feel like they really care about me and my vehicle.
