One or more of the power windows may stop working due to a failed window switch. Failed switches will require replacement.

Driver side power window switch failed with the window down while I was delivering a load of flowers in 90 degree weather. Fortunately, a Chevrolet dealer was open at the next traffic light on a Saturday afternoon and the switch was replaced.

My wife put the driver's side window down this morning and it failed to go up. It was a cold winter day today, so I needed to get it done - and it's Saturday;no shops open. I'm thankful that I found this website. I bought a new switch from Autozone for $49 - saved lots of money in repairs! Passenger side goes down, but not up, but it will go up using new switch. I'll need to replace passenger side switch next week when the part is in. Windows still go up and down slow, however.

  • Drivers side switch would only put passenger window down then passenger side switch would only put it up. Sprayed electrical cleaner in ever place I could on drivers side switch and voila.....everything works fine now. Obviously drivers side switch can affect passenger switch.

Driver side window went down and failed to come back up when switch was toggled. Sprayed the switch with electrical cleaner and then tried it and it worked fine.
