One or more of the power windows may stop working due to a failed window switch. Failed switches will require replacement.

My wife put the driver's side window down this morning and it failed to go up. It was a cold winter day today, so I needed to get it done - and it's Saturday;no shops open. I'm thankful that I found this website. I bought a new switch from Autozone for $49 - saved lots of money in repairs! Passenger side goes down, but not up, but it will go up using new switch. I'll need to replace passenger side switch next week when the part is in. Windows still go up and down slow, however.

  • It started with the windows sometimes working and sometimes not. I had taken it in to Chevy more than once, they would say it was fixed and it worked for a few weeks, then quit. Now my drivers window doesn't work at all the and the passenger side only works from the driver's side. Not fixed.

  • Noticed today that the window controls for my passenger side do not work all of a sudden. I am also having problems with the power door locks on the passenger side.

  • The problem is not fixed. The fixes for this POS are way too expensive. Passenger power window failed in 2010, a few months after I purchased it, used. The driver's window has also quit working.

Driver side power window switch failed with the window down while I was delivering a load of flowers in 90 degree weather. Fortunately, a Chevrolet dealer was open at the next traffic light on a Saturday afternoon and the switch was replaced.

I had to have my switch on the driver side door replaced at 100,000 miles and it still comes up very slowly

Driver's side; replaced switch and still have problems, sporadically, which leads me to believe it's a wiring problem somewhere in the door. When the weather warms up, I'll take the door apart to see. Window goes up crooked, too, so a track must have come loose. Wiring problems are a given with the Ventures - it took a shop 3 days to find the problem to my Venture randomly stopping and not starting. A corroded wiring harness about halfway back to the fuel pump (which is in the fuel tank). An effing $15 part that cost me over $300 to repair.
