1990 Chevrolet Astro Question: power windows

There is one very common culprit. the wiring harness that runs from the door to the door frame inside the rubber tubing is flexing each time the door is opened or close and the wiring in there begings to break. the wires are twisted copper strands and as the strands break there is more resistance to current floow dropping the voltage and raising the amperage and then that will burn out the motor. you need to fix both.

The old switches are in the van right now. The drivers side works great. Not a single problem ever. The passenger side works going down from the drivers side. To bring up the passenger window I have to hit the up switch on the drivers side then use the passenger switch to bring the window up. Driver side switch will only work intermittently to bring the passenger window up. but must always hit the up switch on drivers side before trying to bring passenger window up using the passenger side switch. I got new switches and they did not work at all. And I tried everything I could. The switches are damaged. Drivers side passenger switch sticks and passenger side switch will not bring window at all.
