The driver's side window would not go back up. Prior to this happening, there was no indication of any problems. I took the car to our local body repair shop. They had removed the door panel and through this process had to unplug the window motor. When they re-plugged the connector to the motor, the window worked. Testing the window up and down, several times, the window again stopped working. They again unplugged the motor and re-plugged it again and the window again worked several times. I talked to the mechanic and he said that he had no idea what is causing the problem. He beleives that there must be some relay switch that gets reset every time the motor is un-plugged and then re-plugged. Is there a relay switch on the motor itself or is there a relay switch for the window somewhere else in the car? The window involved is the driver's side window and the passenger window and sun roof window function as usual. The window stops working in any position, up, down or on the way up or on the way down. Any ideas as to the problem. I don't want to spend money eliminating all the parts connected to the the power window if I can aviod it.
