Hydroboost utilizes power steering pressure to assist the brakes. Therefore, if the power steering system and the power brake system are both failing, the power steering pump is the best first place to look.

I have blown out 2 pumps to realize that I need a new hydro boost unit. They list them specific for use with JH2, JH5, JH8, AND so on. How do I tell which one is mine? 04 suburban 2500 4x4 6.0l.
