Rookie

I have a 1993 subaru impreza. when you hit the gas and give her some there a power light that comes up on the dashbord and i have no clue to what it is. I can't even find it in my haynes manual.

so thanks if anyone can help.

Does the light say "power"? Have you looked in the owners manual?

All this indicates is that you are in "power" mode which on the automatic indicates that you will enter higher rpm's before shifting. Its not bad or good just an indication.

it's suppose to be like a performance feature, it just makes the transmission stay in gear longer to go faster
