when i try to start the van nothing happens no sound at all and the lights sometimes dont work

    This sounds like an electrical issue. Possibly a battery or bad connection at the battery. It's so hard to tell without inspecting the vehicle, so I suggest you get a shop to look at it for you, or if you are comfortable doing it, check the battery and cables. Try jump starting it and see if that helps too.
